Vets Now are the UK’s leading provider of emergency pet care, providing a trusted service to more than 1400 veterinary practices – from 60 plus dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. You will be joining our team of dedicated Call Handlers in our Dunfermline based Contact Centre.

Vets Now are recruiting Call Handlers for our out of hours emergency service within our Contact Centre, Dunfermline. You will be required to work a variety of shifts covering our opening hours,
- Week day evenings 18:00-23:00
- Saturdays 1200-23:00
- Sundays and Bank Holidays 0800-23:00
We are looking for people who are flexible about the days and hours that they work to enable us to be there when our clients and their pets need us most.
First point of contact for of clients during an emergency
Our contact centre team are motivated by driving excellent service. Being a Call Handler at Vets Now will see you being the first responder to our clients, using your communication skills to understand the client’s emergency, showing empathy and understanding in stressful situations and offering guidance on where to be seen, information about our out of hours service and support when our clients need it most.

You will be based at our Dunfermline support office and be fully supported by our supervisor, management and clinical teams. The wider network of emergency clinics and specialty hospitals work in collaboration to ensure that we can offer the best emergency and critical care in the country. - Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Experience in working in a high volume, fast-paced environment is preferred but full training is provided so not essential

Working pattern
Our shifts include working Sundays and Public/Bank holidays 08:00-23:00, Week Day Evenings 18:00-23:00, and Saturday 12:00-23:00.
Please note before applying that weekend and bank holiday working is a pre-requisite of accepting this position and you will be expected to work public and bank holidays.
