Part Time Customs & Transport Operator -Import & Exports (Maternity Cover) - Logistics Dept Stanford le Hope, Essex FTC for 8 Months GBP40,000 pro rata

The Role:

Primary focus on Customs with training to be provided to assist Transport in daily tasks.

• Process Customs entries (Import and Export using CDS)
• Ensure compliance with AEO while supporting the logistics team cross function.
• Working in a self-driven, self-sufficient and a proactive team, Support the day to day office functions to support the transport manager and wider commercial team in ensuring customer delivery requirements are met.
• Preparation of import/export customs compliance packs
• Creation of all import/export customs declarations
• Reconciliation of EMCS entries
• Reconciliation of import and export packs for AEO compliance.

The Candidate:

• Recognised qualification in Import/Export or strong background in customs
• Strong understanding of customs brokerage
• Strong knowledge of AEO standard.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Versatile and ability to multitask.
• Knowledge of Supply chain operations or transport would be an advantage but not essential
• Car Owner / Driver due to location

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8.30-5pm. Or Monday to Friday 9-2.30pm (school hours)
