Nursery: The Orchard Day Nursery
Position: Early Years Practitioner, Full-Time
Salary: GBP22,000 - GBP25,000 per annum FTE (dependent on qualification/s and experience)
Location: Wimbledon, London
Hours: Part-time (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
7:00 am - 4:00 pm (with 1-hour unpaid break), 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (with 1-hour unpaid break)
9:00 am - 6:00 pm (with 1-hour unpaid break), 10:00 am - 7:00 pm (with 1-hour unpaid break)
Reports to: Room Leader
We are looking for Level 3 qualified Practitioners to join our Early Years Team. The Orchard Day Nursery is located on Wimbledon High Street, with easy access to transport links.

Working at our Nursery
The Orchard Day Nursery provides a home from home atmosphere for all children, so that they feel safe and comfortable. This also gives parents the reassurance they need when leaving their little ones in someone else's care. The team at The Orchard Day Nursery are passionate about childcare and Early Years education and go above and beyond to provide the best possible service.
Capacity: 90 places
Rooms: Babies (3 months to 2 years), Toddlers (2 to 3 years), Preschool (4 to 5 years)
Opening Times: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, 51 weeks per year
About the Role
Plan, create, and implement engaging activities for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
Keep a record of children's progress and reflect on learning practices.
Communicate to develop and maintain strong parent/carer partnerships.
Maintain high standards for safety, cleanliness, and hygiene, as well as following all child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
Provide support to fellow nursery staff and foster collaboration.
About You
Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nursery Assistant or similar)
Enthusiasm for making learning fun and engaging for each child
Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults
Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the Early Years Framework.
