Part-Time, Full-Year School Cleaner - 22.5 Hours

Nottingham Girls' High School, one of the UK's leading schools, seeks a reliable and well organised cleaner to clean designated areas within the school premises efficiently and effectively, so that a clean and tidy environment is maintained for students, staff and visitors.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 3.00 - 7.30 pm, 22.5 hours per week. During the school holidays, hours are worked between 8.00 am and 4.00 pm as arranged by the supervisor.

Salary: . Pro rata of the FTE salary advertised, equates to an annual salary of £14,040 per annum (£12.00 per hour)

Skills/Experience required

• Experience of cleaning in an hotel/office/education setting to a high standard
• Ability to work effectively in a team and use own initiative
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions
• Must have IT competency - to access on line training modules

Knowledge/Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning or equivalent - Essential
• Understanding of health and safety requirements - Desirable
• Understanding of child protection issues - Desirable

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of any allocated areas to exacting standards
• Report defects, maintenance requirements including damaged items
• Assist with regular deep cleans as required, and with any special arrangements for end of term tidying
• Adhere to School safe working practices and ensure that instructions provided are followed

Start Date: As soon as possible subject to references and safer recruitment checks including the requirement for a DBS certificate.
