Rhodes Wood Hospital are looking for a part-time (22.5 hours) History Teacher with responsibility for the delivery of History within a small, specialised eating disorder CAMHS setting.
We are a hospital school set beside Rhodes Wood Hospital, (Hatfield), a 38-bed low secure mental health setting. We are part of a larger private healthcare company run by Elysium Healthcare. The pupils in our care are aged between 8 to 18 years and are with us for having a primary diagnosis of an eating disorder with a range of mental health issues that usually require a short-term stay. As part of their stay patients are able to access our education provision, allowing them to keep up with their studies which are instrumental in helping our pupils reintegrate back into a mainstream setting or going on to further education.
We are looking for a well-qualified History teacher to join our specialised teaching team, preferably with some special school experience although not essential. The ability to teach history at key stages 3 and 4 is essential and at A-level would be an advantage. You will be teaching in small groups of up to 8 pupils. This position will include a pastoral responsibility in which you may be supporting up to three pupils. This would include communications with parents/carers, home school, and the clinical team within the hospital.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Relevant qualifications/degree.
- QTS and previous experience within a similar setting.
