This is a great opportunity to join an academic organisation who are looking for an Coordinator to support the publishing and editorial team over maternity leave period of 6-8 months.
This role will provide administrative support for the publication and editorial process of several publications and will also involve helping the Communications team on several projects.
This is a part-time role and attendance at the office will be required on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Key duties
- Work closely with member of the editorial team and other stakeholders
- Help ensure the smooth running of the editorial process
- Work closely with publishers and editors
- Coordinate peer review process ensuring manuscripts are handled efficiently and timelines are adhered to
- Manage the social media accounts for the publications, rating regular posts and sharing content from authors, contributors etc
- Attend and schedule meetings as required
Key Skills and Experience
- An interest or experience within the publishing sector is desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Social media knowledge and experience
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
