About the job
We are looking to recruit the right individual who is passionate about helping people who have experienced rough sleeping to rebuild their lives. The role will support individuals who have experienced rough sleeping or homelessness and are now living in temporary accommodation or have a new tenancy but need help to develop and maintain their new life. This will including considering diversionary activities, education, sport, practical activities, volunteering, peer support programmes and developing work opportunities. Helping to unlock barriers to access. Liaising with agencies to bring their services on board.
Ideally, you will have experience in this or a similar role and have a sound understanding of the complexities and barriers that may be faced. In this role you will: Work closely with individuals to develop person-centred plans, helping to break down barriers and offering tailored information support and guidance What we’re looking for: Someone who holds a full, current and valid driving licence and a vehicle available for use with a current valid MOT certificate and insurance as transporting customers is an integral part of the role. The ability to listen, understand and empower individuals to make positive change. The ability to liaise with partners and persuade them to join/contribute to our projects. The role is part of our ongoing commitment to reduce rough sleeping and complements activities to increase temporary accommodation options and support individuals newly into accommodation to prevent a return to homelessness
