Role Summary
You will be responsible for developing a non-academic partnership strategy which will generate significant revenue and in-kind support for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Potential partner organisations will include corporates, membership organisations and other arts organisations. The post holder will also be expected to develop relationships with the wider RCS community encouraging involvement in giving.
It's expected that these partnerships will be focused on financial sponsorships, sponsor-named scholarships and programmes, paid work placements for students or graduates both in the UK and internationally. The post-holder will also work to secure in-kind donations of goods, services, equipment, space or hospitality all of which focuses on enhancing the student experience and delivering against the aims of the RCS Strategic Plan.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a sponsorship and partnership strategy that aligns with Royal Conservatoire of Scotland's strategic goals and sets ambitious financial targets
• Develop and drive a pipeline of potential sponsors and partners with a wide range of corporations, membership organisations, arts institutions and sister organisations in Scotland, the rest of the UK and internationally to deliver on strategic objectives and targets
• Collaborate with RCS colleagues to develop and sell a set of partnership and sponsorship propositions
• Develop an agreed set of KPIs to measure progress and impact
• Demonstrate and measure success through meeting ambitious financial targets delivering on annual growth significant
• Maintain relationships with existing sponsors and partners, developing multi-year, multi-layer agreements wherever possible
• Negotiate and manage sponsorship and partnership agreements
• Look to significantly enhance RCS’s stakeholder network of advancement contacts by engaging and connecting RCS effectively with a wide range of groups including professional, sector, corporate and civic contacts as well as Conservatoire governors and trustees, students, staff and their networks
• Develop and execute creative sponsorship packages, ensuring RCS is seen as a partner of choice for a range of high-profile organisations
• Track and measure the results of sponsorship and partnership campaigns to an agreed set of benchmarks and KPIs
• Work closely with the Development team to ensure that sponsorship and partnership revenue is aligned with the Conservatoire's overall fundraising goals
• Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Team to develop and manage marketing partnerships with media and other press outlets to generate positive publicity and awareness for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland
• Work with the Marketing team to develop and implement sponsorship and partnership marketing campaigns.
• Engage with industry events and conferences to network with potential sponsors and partners
• Participate in the Conservatoire’s Goals Setting and Career Review process
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Head of Fundraising and Alumni Relations

Essential Criteria Desirable Criteria
Education, Qualifications and Training
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• Knowledge of the not-for-profit partnerships sector
• Confident in presenting at a senior level to a wide range of stakeholders
• Ability to act with discretion and confidentiality at a senior level
• Able to juggle numerous projects in a timely manner
Education, Qualifications and Training
• Experience or proven interest in working in the Arts Sector
• Experience or proven interest in working in the Higher Education Sector
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
• Proven track record in developing financially successful partnerships with a range of organisations in a not-for-profit setting
• Confident in tracking and reporting activity income generation
• Experience of working in a busy Fundraising Team
• Experience of managing budgets
• Experience of data input, extraction and reporting in a fundraising environment
• Able to analyse data efficiently and to use it to achieve a wider organisational goal
• Fully computer literate: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Experienced in handling senior level internal and external relationships
• Ability to manage team budgets
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to strict deadlines
• Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external contacts

• Experience of Spektrix database
• Experience in Corporate Fundraising
