CarStore are looking for a Parts Leader to oversee the parts department in our busy preparation centre in Coventry.
The main purpose of the Parts Leader’s role is to oversee the parts team and ensure that the parts department always meets the demands of the production targets. You’ll be working as part of a dynamic team working on all makes of used vehicles utilising bringing them up to a high standard for our customers whilst ensuring that the most cost effective solution is sought at all times.
What does the role of Parts Leader involve?
- To monitor all overheads and stock values to ensure that the budget is managed and controlled.
- Review parts movements daily to monitor departmental performance and ensure departmental budget is achieved, taking corrective action as appropriate.
- Control all parts purchases to ensure that maximum buying efficiency is achieved and is in line with company policy and franchise agreements.
- Control levels of parts stock, providing availability of parts to meet customer expectations, whilst maintaining parts obsolescence at minimum levels.
- Agree and establish clear individual targets for departmental team members to ensure everyone is clear about their responsibilities and development opportunities
- To be ‘hands on’ with the parts process to ensure that departmental targets are met at all times
