We are currently on the lookout for a Parts Managerto join our Parts Team at Snows Peugeot based in Basingstoke.
Your day
The Parts Manager role will lead and manage the dealership’s Parts team to deliver profitability and customer satisfaction.
Your day will include:
- Ensuring all members of the Parts team understand the implications of the Brand Experience for their role and monitors performance against agreed customer service targets (e.g., CES).
- Leading the team by personally demonstrating and encouraging the skills and behaviours associated with the Brand Experience and Values.
- Ensuring that the Parts team work closely with colleagues in Sales, Service and Administration to deliver excellent customer service.
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the Parts Department to ensure the achievement of key targets (e.g., parts & accessory sales volumes and margins).
- Planning and managing parts and accessory stock levels to meet customer requirements and minimise cost.
- Ensuring non-current stock is promoted to build sales or returned within the 50-day period to minimise levels of non-current stock.
- Managing stock visibility to ensure all necessary personnel have accurate information on availability and price.
- Negotiating with non-franchise parts suppliers to achieve the best price.
- Continuously reviewing and improving Parts processes and systems to deliver increased levels of customer satisfaction whilst maximising profitability.
- Managing the dealership’s trade sales activity – including prospecting activity, agreement of discounts and van sales.
- Working with colleagues across the dealership to investigate and resolve customer complaints.
- Monitoring staff training needs, ensuring training and development plans are in place and up to date for all members of the team.
- Working with HR to address any employee matters in a timely manner (performance issues/recruitment/ER issues).
- Plans and organises own daily selling activity – for example by telephoning sales prospects (previous/existing customers or general enquiries) to obtain new business.
- Maintains the showroom environment and displays to agreed guidelines, including the presentation of used car point of sale data.
Have you got what it takes?
- Technical Qualification or proven experience of working with vehicle parts.
- Abe to communicate effectively with team, manage external relationships and customer relationships to deliver required information in a timely way.
- Proven supervisory/management experience – able to supervise and mentor team members to achieve their work load.
- Able to assimilate information quickly and provide considered responses.
- Strong work ethic and adaptable to change.
- Attention to detail and maintains good, accurate quality of work.
- PC, Microsoft, and web literate.
- Full, clean driving license.

Hours of Work
Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:30 (with 1 hour for lunch)
