In this role, you will assist the Pastoral Secretary who oversees the legal processes to alter Anglican ministry structures and the legal statuses of consecrated church buildings across the diocese – a process known as pastoral reorganisation.
The principal work of the diocesan Pastoral team is to advise on appropriate options that will best support ministry and mission in any given context, to conduct statutory consultation processes, and to ensure appropriate Committee oversight of all proposals for legal changes brought forward.
In addition to excellent administrative and organisational skills, this area of work can sometimes touch on delicate or contentious situations and an ability to deal with appropriate discretion, sensitivity and confidence will also be necessary.
