Are you currently a Teaching Assistant or Assistant Pastoral Lead looking to take the next step? This excellent secondary school located just south of the city centre is looking to add a Pastoral Lead to provide support across Key Stage 3. As a Pastoral Lead you will be responsible for supporting students who have struggled with their behaviour and attendance. This role will require a Pastoral Lead who is comfortable managing challenging behaviours and can effectively communicate with teaching and leadership staff.
You will be joining an experienced team of Pastoral Leads who work together to provide outstanding support for students. This school has excellent leadership, a welcoming team and brilliant facilities. As a Pastoral Lead you will be supporting teachers in managing classroom behaviours, mentoring students on a 1-2-1 basis, leasing with parents / outside agencies, and ensuring that students receive the support that they deserve. This role requires school-based experience to be considered.
Job Role:
- Providing behavioural support across Key Stage 3
- Delivering 1-2-1 intervention sessions focused on improving behaviours and personal development
- Effectively communicating with parents, carers and outside agencies
- Working with a small team of experienced Pastoral Leads to provide outstanding support
- Attending safeguarding meetings with the DSL and safeguarding team
- Ensuring that students are supported effectively across Key Stage 3
