We are exclusively working with a leading Westminster Secondary school to find a Pastoral Leader ideally for a September 2024 start. This Pastoral Leader role will be employed via a Permanent Contract directly by the school, this a full-time vacancy. The salary for this role is between £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, experience dependant.

What will you do as a Pastoral Leader?

• To take part in delivering key messages and rewards in weekly Year Team assemblies
• To monitor behaviour, attendance and punctuality data to prepare plans for regular line management meetings
• To liaise with the SLT Link and Head of Year on a day-to-day basis regarding any student issues such as attendance, punctuality, behaviour and detentions
• To assist the Head of Year with the leadership, management and support of the team of tutors
• Conduct daily attendance phone calls for students who are reported as absent
• Where necessary, run interventions for identified students or those returning from external exclusions to support them in overcoming the barriers to learning that they face
• Ensuring attendance of vulnerable pupils is high
• Ensuring key parts of the day are successful (e.g. break, lunch, activity, enrichment)
• Making proactive phones calls to pupils with concerning attendance to ensure they are in school
• Attending home-visits to collect vulnerable pupils
