Job description

Position: KS3 Pastoral Support Administrator

Reporting To: Senior Leader, KS Personal Development Behaviour and Welfare

Pay Scale: H4

Hours: 37 Hours Term Time plus 5 Training Days

Job Purpose:

As a KS3 Pastoral Support Administrator, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to the pastoral team and its stakeholders, specifically focusing on Key Stage 3. Your responsibilities will include supporting the implementation of the School Improvement Plan, offering guidance to students to promote positive behavior and personal development, and ensuring compliance with school policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the pastoral team, with a focus on Key Stage 3.
  • Assist in the implementation of the School Improvement Plan.
  • Support the promotion of positive behavior, social care, and personal development in students.
  • Maintain processes and procedures for the Key Stage team in alignment with school policies.
  • Ensure exemplary standards of student conduct, discipline, and dress code.
  • Comply with Child Protection policies and safeguarding procedures.
  • Assist team members in achieving Key Stage targets.
  • Personalize the school's response to individual student needs.

  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, liaising closely with colleagues.
  • Efficiently manage and prioritize workload with good interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality in all school-related matters.
  • Demonstrate a calm, positive, and professional approach when dealing with staff, students, and parents.
  • Keep the office environment tidy and organized to facilitate efficient working practices.

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work with students to resolve issues and disputes.
  • Be an active part of the duty and 'on-call' team.
  • Organize and produce student reports.
  • Support students with statements and investigate incidents fairly.
  • Produce incident overviews and liaise with relevant pastoral leads regarding actions.
  • Type meeting notes, log on SIMS, and communicate effectively with parents.
