Tradewind Recruitment are working on behalf of a rapidly improving school who are seeking a compassionate and experienced individual to join their team as a Secondary School Pastoral Support Worker at an Ofsted Requires Improvement School in Croydon.
The school is undergoing significant changes to drive improvements, and your role as a Pastoral Support Worker will be an integral part of working with students to improve behaviour and resilience.
Position: Secondary School Pastoral Support Worker
Location: Croydon, London
Starting: Immediate
Salary: £13.50 per hour
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar Pastoral Support role within a school setting, particularly in schools undergoing improvement processes.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students exhibiting challenging behaviours and emotional difficulties.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and staff sensitively and effectively.
Knowledge of strategies and interventions to support students' social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (this can be arranged through Tradewind)
Key Responsibilities Include:
Providing individualised Pastoral Support to students facing behavioural and emotional challenges, fostering positive relationships, promoting well-being, and resilience building.
Implementing and monitoring pastoral care programs and interventions, tailoring approaches to meet the specific needs of students.
Collaborating with teachers, counsellors, and external agencies to develop and implement personalised support plans for students, ensuring holistic support.
Facilitating group sessions and workshops on topics related to mental health, resilience, and well-being.
Advocating for students and families to access additional support services and resources as required, acting as a liaison between the school and external agencies.
