Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of a Band 3 Patient Activities Coordinator within Inverclyde Mental Health Inpatient Services, providing diversional recreational and social activities to patients within mental health older adult wards. The post holder will carry out social/recreational activities with patients to promote independence, recovery and well-being, by undertaking planned group work and/or individual activities/occupations, contributing to continuous patient assessment. Candidates should have gained robust experience within a similar role.
During periods of high clinical activity, the post holder will deliver care as directed by the nurse in charge, by contributing to the nursing assessment and implementing and reporting on aspects of the prescribed plan of care for patients.
The post is permanent and the post holder is expected to work across two wards; Willow in Orchard View and Ward 4 in the Larkfield unit, 37.5 hrs per week, 5/7 days 9am-5pm with flexibility to work alternative shift patterns as and when required.
