Description
Duties will include:
- Provide comprehensive support and analysis of payments for the firm, covering various Payment Services duties such as outgoing payments (BACS, faster payments, CHAPs, and cheques), payment approvals, queries and mailbox management, ledger management, and month-end reporting.
- Manage client and office bank accounts in compliance with Solicitors Accounting Rules (SAR).
- Prepare and authorise all types of outgoing online electronic bank transfers (BACS, CHAPS, and Faster Payments) and assist with cheque processing for local and regional offices.
- Monitor and manage shared query inboxes, ensuring timely and accurate responses to stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions and assist in month-end reporting.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with Cashiering, Accounts Payable teams, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in maintaining bank account registers and Payments DOA for audit purposes.
- Assist in the maintenance and review of all bank mandates, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide support with bank account reconciliations, paying particular attention to SAR compliance.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the implementation of improvements and controls to enhance performance and relationships.
- Adhere to Data Protection, AML, Fraud, Service Standards, ISO Procedures, and SAR requirements.
Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Have a proven track record in a similar role
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Be proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel
- Be an excellent written and verbal communicator
