Job description

Are you ready to take on a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely payment of our employees? Join our team at Aspire Defence Services and take on the role of Payroll Coordinator. In this position, you will work closely with the Payroll Manager and support them in all aspects of payroll administration and compliance.

As the Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for collecting and verifying timesheet information and inputting data into the payroll system when applicable. You will also work with People Services to ensure that all relevant information regarding starters and leavers and other adjustments to employees pay has been input into the HR and payroll systems. You will ensure the payroll is administered accurately and on time, within the statutory and regulatory requirements.

You will also handle payroll-related queries from internal and external stakeholders, such as employees, managers, HMRC, and pension providers. You will resolve any issues in accordance with ADSL processes and procedures and provide support to the Payroll Manager. You will also prepare and submit payroll reports and relevant documentation for review by the Payroll Manager and assist them with any key payroll related projects or audits.

Additionally, you will be involved in pensions administration and auto-enrolment duties, such as preparing and submitting monthly contribution returns to pension providers and other third parties. You will also assist with Benefex administration and run any ad hoc reports as required. You will collaborate with People Services and Finance for seamless payroll processing and support the payroll manager during audits, co-ordinating data requests and meeting with internal and external auditors to ensure regulations and requirements are met. You will also assist with preparation of P11D’s and carry out any other duties appropriate to this post, as necessary or as requested.

You must have intermediate professional payroll / HR training from a recognised provider as well as Maths and English level 3 or above qualifications. It would also be desirable to have a Level 3 CIPP Qualification (or equivalent)

Salary: Up to you £29,100 dependent on skills and experience
Location: Tidworth ABC
