Do you have a proven track record in a supervisory or Team Leader position? Our client is recruiting for a HR & Payroll Team Leader to join their organisation on a full time temporary basis for approximately 6 months. This is a remote role so experience in Payroll at a supervisory level is essential, together with basic HR knowledge .
This role is working from home, but you will be required to join their team, based mostly in Cumbria, on occasions for occasional meetings etc (travel and overnight accommodation costs would be funded as required)
Role Specification:
- A CIPP qualification is essential for this role, and you will need to demonstrate payroll knowledge, such as manual calculations, to support new starters, calculating NI, looking at payslips, being able to look at payslips and calculate what has gone wrong.
- You will be supporting 8/9 individual's day to day, and you will need to be able to manage those people effectively and fairly, whilst driving results, monitoring workloads, adhering to SLA's and ensuring SLA's are being met monthly
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of cost effective, accurate and timely HR/Payroll services, ensuring high standards are maintained through competent and skilled team members.
- Ensure effective processes and procedures are in place, quality assurance and validation checks are carried out as well as adherence to legislation and client Terms and Conditions of Employment.
- Ensure advice and support to clients on conditions of service for all categories of staff, is consistent and adheres to client policies and procedures.
- Manage excellent working relationships with external and internal clients, ensuring the team are providing exceptional customer service.
- Ensure working standards and Service Level Agreement targets are consistently met across the team, through effective inductions, training, development, benchmarking performance against agreed standards, management and monitoring of work and through quality assurance of processes and practice.
- Lead on specific projects and service reviews of administrative procedures and processes as agreed with the HR and Payroll Delivery Manager and implement change in the interests of efficiency in the delivery of HR & Payroll services. Lead projects and activities to support service review and enhancements
Essential Skills:
- CIPP Qualification is Essential
- Proven experience within payroll service provision
- Experience of a wide customer base and high volume of transactions
- Experience of using iTrent and/or Oracle Service Cloud is desirable
- Plan and organise tasks in line with deadlines remaining accountable for Team outcomes Respond to Customer escalations resolving matters appropriately
- Ability to manage and motivate a Team
- Able to deliver in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Excellent IT skills and good understanding of Customer Service
Qualifications, work experience
- Evidence of numeracy and literacy qualifications
- Foundation Degree in Payroll Management/Intermediate Certificate in HR
- Previous HR/Payroll experience
- Development and implementation of HR/Payroll policies and procedures
