We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, driven and talented individual to join us and help delivery Payroll Transformation for Cumberland Council. We have a big task on our hands to on-board district payrolls post Local Government Reform and then support the future implementation of and HR & Payroll system to support Cumberland Council in it’s ambitious agenda for the future.
In this newly created role, you will join a friendly, hard-working and proactive team who are passionate about rationalising our payroll provision and delivering high quality customer service to our workforce.
The Role
Working closely with our Payroll Manager, you will lead the payroll transformation activities for Cumberland Council arising from LGR and disaggregation of hosted services ensuring safe and legal solutions are in place to deliver accurate and timely pay to the workforce.
You will work closely with our HR Systems team to ensure transition from old solutions to iTrent are effective and support all our customers to make the change while enhancing the user experience.
We are about to embark on a significant project to on-board former-district payrolls into the former-county iTrent solution. You will be required to work closely with the supplier, the HR Systems team, Payroll colleagues and our Programme Management Office to ensure this project is successful. Beyond the life of the on-boarding project, your role will shift to reviewing and rationalising payrolls and support Cumberland to implement a future HR and Payroll solution.
Who we are looking for
The right candidate will be an excellent communicator, payroll technical expert and able operate in a project capacity to deliver outcomes on time and at pace.
Ideally you will have worked in a large, complex organisation, and have a good understanding of payroll system implementation and user experience of iTrent. You will be a team player, who can work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, you will bring innovative solutions and strong problem-solving skills to the team.
