Our client is a leading National engineering solutions company, focussing on refrigeration and HVAC, with their head office based in Bristol.
They are looking for a new Payroll Officer to join their Bristol operation and join their dynamic finance team.
(Initially office based, but once you have completed your probation period this is a hybrid role)
The role will undertake a full range of tasks and you will be responsible for preparing and amending payroll before sending the information on to the outsource payroll company.
The ideal candidate will ensure that all transactional processes are completed accurately, ensuring compliance and the management of over 350 employees is on time, including all stages throughout the monthly cycle.
You will be delivering efficient, effective, professional customer service and will support all employees with their enquiries.
You will manage the delivery of the payroll schedule, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the payroll process.
You will also be responsible for the following duties: -
- Ensuring any ad hoc payments through BACS are made accurately
- Processing and managing employee expense claims
- Processing monthly starters and leavers
- Processing all overtime and additional payments
- Calculating any salary adjustments for absence, ensuring company policies are applied correctly
- Calculating any vehicle related payments and deductions, including all company mileage payments and fuel deductions are treated correctly through the payroll
- Managing and issuing P11d’s in co-ordination with the Fleet Manager
- Managing and administering the company pension schemes, and ensuring submissions and payment is made to the pension provider in a timely and accurate manner
- Liaising with HMRC, pension providers and other third parties
