I am recruiting an exciting Payroll Officer opportunity for a charitable business based in the East Midlands. This is a fully remote position offering a lot of flexibility with working hours.

Description
The Payroll Officer will report directly to the Payroll Manager. The Payroll Officer's duties will include but are not limited to:
- Managing the preparation of accurate monthly payroll including new starters, leavers, salary changes, PAYE code changes and other manual adjustments
- Producing and distributing P45s and P60s
- Record and calculate all statutory and occupational payments, including but not limited to maternity, paternity and adoption payments
- Receive sickness returns and calculate sickness payments, both statutory and occupational
- Ensure all payroll files are correctly updated and all payroll filing is completed
Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience working in end to end payroll processing
- Have a good working knowledge of spreadsheets and financial systems including reconciliations, data input and payroll calculations
- Have a good understanding of payroll and tax legislation including SSP, SMP, PAYE, and HMRC
- Proven attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal
- Be able to work independently and show good initiative
Job Offer
The successful candidate can expect a starting salary c£25,000 + fully remote working with completely flexible hours (the 37.5 hours can be worked any time in the week) + 36 days annual leave + an extra day off for your birthday + pension with 5% employer contribution + enhanced sick pay allowances, maternity & paternity payment + other voluntary benefits
