Payroll Specialist, Salary: up to £30-40k, Based; Stockton-on-Tees. There may be some opportunity for hybrid working. *This role is working on a 9-month fixed term contract.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join the market leading business, who are part of a global group, in the manufacturing and construction sector. We are Keen to hear from candidates with experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of the end-to-end payroll process and the use of specialist payroll systems.
Payroll Specialist - The role:
- Responsible for managing and executing the end-to-end payroll process.
- Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of monthly and fortnightly payrolls, ensuring the relevant data and is processed within the payroll system accordingly whilst adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining payroll systems and records with a clear audit trail, as well as providing functional reporting to stakeholders.
- Administer HM Revenue and Customs requirements, including P45, P46, P60, and P11D.
- Managing the administration, submission and payment of the pension scheme
- Analyse monthly data to ensure accuracy and run reports for HRIS system
Candidate requirements:
- Previous experience working in a Payroll Specialist or similar role, with a strong understanding of the end-to-end payroll process.
- Exceptional numeracy and analytical skills for precise calculations.
- Proficient in using payroll software and systems.
- Knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as in-house systems.
- Ability to generate numerous payroll reports accurately and efficiently.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
