Payroll Specialist

SF Recruitment are working with a fantastic client of ours in Swadlincote to recruit for a Payroll Specialist to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract. The role is fully office based with the working hours Monday to Thursday 8am until 4.30pm with an early finish on a Friday at 1.30pm. We are looking for a personable candidate who has payroll experience under their belt who is happy to commit to the duration of the contract.
Take a look at some duties below:
- Monitor attested hours, check overtime and check hours on employee timesheets.
- Calculate accurate wages, including any bonuses, salary increases or overtime.
- Calculate any tax or national insurance deductions and pensions contributions.
- Calculate statutory payments, such as maternity, paternity and sick leave.
- Calculate and process accurate payments to employees by cash, cheque or electronic transfer, ensuring strict deadlines are met.
- Issue relevant tax forms.
- Administer starter / leaver process including all documentation, induction processes as and when required.
- Provide administrative support to line managers in HR processes, including note taking
