Our client is a respected entity within the renewable energy sector based in Edinburgh.
Description
- Manage biweekly/monthly payroll processes; prepare payroll submissions for the outsourced providers, and thoroughly review and reconcile changes for these payrolls.
- Data entry for the inhouse UK payrolls.
- Liaise with vendors, advisers to ensure the processing of payrolls.
- Co-ordinate with international payroll counterparts to ensure smooth transactions for transferring/ expatriate employees.
- Support the annual compensation/ salary & bonus process. Conduct thorough checking to ensure the accuracy of data in payroll.
- Administer the annual adjustments/ increases to payrolls for salary and bonus purposes.
- Compile, reconcile and submit monthly pension returns.
- Assist with UK tax year end.
Profile
A successful Payroll Specialist should have:
- A strong understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Proficiency in using payroll software.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
