Payroll Specialist - Training Provided!

This position seeks a dedicated Payroll Specialist who will efficiently manage payroll and benefits, ensuring accuracy and compliance within a professional environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, and a keen attention to detail.

Our client is a respected entity within the renewable energy sector based in Edinburgh.

Description

• Manage biweekly/monthly payroll processes; prepare payroll submissions for the outsourced providers, and thoroughly review and reconcile changes for these payrolls.
• Data entry for the inhouse UK payrolls.
• Liaise with vendors, advisers to ensure the processing of payrolls.
• Co-ordinate with international payroll counterparts to ensure smooth transactions for transferring/ expatriate employees.
• Support the annual compensation/ salary & bonus process. Conduct thorough checking to ensure the accuracy of data in payroll.
• Administer the annual adjustments/ increases to payrolls for salary and bonus purposes.
• Compile, reconcile and submit monthly pension returns.
• Assist with UK tax year end.

Profile

A successful Payroll Specialist should have:

• A strong understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
• Proficiency in using payroll software.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
