You will play a key role in the development and continual improvement of end-to-end Digital Services used by charities, trustees, charity representatives and members of the public within an agile environment, as well as maintain existing digital services and products.
You will need to demonstrate strong technical capability (ideally Microsoft Azure and Liferay) and proven experience of using patterns, standards, policies, road maps and vision statements to drive, challenge and guide strategic decision making in the building of enterprise grade solutions.
- Build, design, and deploy solutions: You can translate user stories to a proposed design and develop software to meet user needs. This includes delivering integration solutions in accordance with the Commission’s principles/framework/strategy. This may involve collaborating with third party consultants/suppliers. You will effectively document all work using required standards, methods, and tools.
- Service support: You will ensure the efficient adoption of live software by business colleagues, users and the Application Support team through walk-throughs, training, guidance notes, advice-giving and other documentation. You may be asked to help fix faults following agreed procedures and carry out agreed maintenance tasks on infrastructure.
- System design methods and tools: You will ensure the design of users’ digital; interactions and interfaces meet usability and accessibility requirements. You can design systems characterised by managed levels of risk, manageable business and technical complexity, and meaningful impact.
