Job description

Hoddesdon and Broxbourne (H&B) PCN has an exciting opportunity to further enhance their clinical pharmacist workforce and are looking to recruit a PCN pharmacist to work across the GP practices in within H&B PCN, on a fixed term contract for 12 months (maternity cover), with the possibility of a permanent position being offered, for 4 to 5 days per week. If a permanent contract is offered we will enrol you on the CPPE pathway.

We would like to build on our existing team of 3 dynamic and forward-thinking pharmacists as we continue to recognise the value this role brings to our practices and patients. Our aim is to provide exemplary patient care; find innovative solutions in general practice to deliver the best care we can for our patients.

As a clinical pharmacy team, we meet daily on return to the PCN office after spending the morning in an allocated practice. The practice allocation is reviewed and rotated between the team every 2 months. The practice rotation gives the pharmacists an opportunity to work across 4 like-minded but operationally different surgeries with the various types of clinicians.

We are passionate about developing our pharmacy team and you will be enrolled onto the CPPE clinical pharmacists in general practice education pathway and an Independent Prescribing course (if not already completed) to further your clinical skills.  There is also funding available via the Hertfordshire and West Essex Training Hub to pursue further training and education such as post-graduate diplomas and Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) qualifications.  Any training webinars of interest selected by the pharmacist will be encouraged and time allocated.
