Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curriculum that aligns with national and state standards.
- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons that promote the development of physical fitness, motor skills, and sportsmanship.
- Organise and supervise structured physical activities, including team sports, individual fitness activities, and recreational games.
- Assess student performance and progress in physical education through observation, skill demonstrations, and fitness testing.
- Provide feedback and support to students to help them set and achieve personal fitness and wellness goals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel encouraged and motivated to participate and succeed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate physical education concepts across the curriculum and promote a holistic approach to student wellness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- QTS
- Experience teaching physical education at the elementary, middle, or secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, sports science, and principles of physical fitness.
- Ability to effectively manage and supervise students during physical activities and ensure their safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students to adopt healthy habits.
