Alderwood School is looking for a PE Technician/Minibus driver to provide admin and practical support to the PE department, particularly around maintaining equipment and resources and driving students to fixtures and tournaments.
Our ideal candidate will:
- have a minimum of two years’ driving experience and hold a current clean and valid driving licence with class D1 (Midas certificate is required; however, training will be provided for this)
- will be a key member of a busy P.E department supporting staff and pupils with preparing and setting up apparatus and equipment for use in practical activities and clearing away.
- will operate a system of stock control, maintaining stock levels and records and ordering replacements when necessary.
- have good interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a commitment to safeguarding pupils
- play a full and active role in the life of the school
This is a term-time only position. The successful candidate will work 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although there is scope for flexibility with hours and overtime.
Alderwood School is an ‘all through’ school on the outskirts of Aldershot split across 3 sites with approximately 850 pupils on our senior site and 1,487 in total. This role will initially be based at our senior site.
