Purpose of the Post
We are looking for a People Advisor who will sit in the people team alongside the Head of People. You will be the first stop for advice related to people for our team and managers. A requirement of this role will be to ensure all administrative tasks related to the people function are in place, with the implementation of our new HRIS we are looking to automate as much of these processes as we can, and you will be encouraged and supported to do this. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to the full remit of the People function and People Plans within the Theatre and to be mentored to grow your career to build on and develop a great foundation in a People advisory role.
What will you be doing day to day
It’s likely that no two days will be the same and you will be exploring ideas and problem solving to understand any challenges and provide effective solutions.
You will be the first point of contact for any HR/People queries and will manage the internal HR and Recruitment Mailbox and respond to and action all tasks within this.
Some of the key day to day tasks will be:
HR/People processes – managing all administrative processes to ensure all of our data and records are accurate and up to date and exploring solutions to automate these processes through our new HR Information System. All data will be managed in accordance with GDPR and our Privacy Notice.
Managing recruitment processes – managing the full end to end recruitment process through our applicant tracking system and assisting with manager queries such as shortlisting, arranging interviews and carrying out background checks
Supporting the new starter process through coordinating paperwork, welcome packs and inductions
You’ll be the key point of contact for our HR Information System and will ensure this is kept up to date and support managers with any queries using the system. You will also seek opportunities to automate processes and ensure we are using the HRIS to its full potential
You’ll be asked to pull reports from the system and work with the payroll team on any queries
You’ll work with the Head of people to support with employee engagement plans, wellbeing groups, and maintaining and updating training records
We are introducing an ambitious people plan and you’ll be joining us at a fantastic time to work on and develop your interests in the areas within our people plan, which include areas such as wellbeing, culture change and leadership and management development.
Hours of Work
This is a Part Time role, and we encourage applications from interested parties interested in a Part Time role, and we are considering between 24-32 hours per week. We are flexible on the working days and hours. We are keen to appoint someone who can make the role their own, and look to automate some of our administrative tasks to allow space to work on our People Plan
