The Business Partnering team provides consultation on people strategy, policies and programmes to their Business Unit. The People Consultant reports to the Line of Service (LoS) Senior People Consultant and is responsible for supporting the Senior People Consultants to execute the People strategy and provide strategic support to their Business Unit/LoS across all areas of the People agenda.

Purpose

As a People Consultant (HR Manager) in PwC you will work in partnership with business leadership and key stakeholders to develop, drive and execute the people strategy, to continuously enhance the employee experience and business performance. Supporting the Senior People Consultants you will provide consultation on people strategy, policies and programmes for your assigned Business Units.

You will be responsible for owning your portfolio and building relationships with key stakeholders across the business to understand their challenges and identify potential solutions. You will advise and consult on all aspects of the people agenda and be the first point of contact for queries and escalations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the delivery of people related cyclical activities including performance, reward and talent management
  • Support the execution of firmwide people related strategic projects
  • Analyse and interpret large datasets to create meaningful insight with actionable recommendations
  • Work closely with our operational delivery colleagues in People Solutions and SME business partners to deliver against firmwide and LoS specific people priorities
  • Seek to understand and triage people related issues which fall outside of standard policies and processes enabling effective collaboration across relevant functions
  • Support Inclusion & Diversity, Wellbeing & Culture across the people agenda
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders including Partners and employees, providing support and constructive challenge

Essential skills & experience:

  • Experience in HR with an understanding of all HR disciplines
  • Experience leading the delivery of cyclical processes such as performance and reward
  • Proven experience managing performance improvement plans
  • Ability to help business leaders to find lasting solutions to persistent and/or urgent issues
  • Clear and articulate communicator confident in leading challenging or difficult conversations with stakeholders of all levels
  • Experience gathering, analysing and interpreting HR data and analytics to provide meaningful insight to business leaders enabling informed decision making
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Business acumen and an understanding of how to mitigate risks.
