Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a People & Culture Advisor to join the People & Culture Department.

You will be joining a committed, generalist People & Culture team providing wide-ranging People & Culture support to a designated client group. You will be accountable for all administration and support of the employment lifecycle including resourcing, employee relations and retention for the University, engaging proactively with University staff and external stakeholders to deliver an effective and efficient People & Culture service. This will include giving robust advice on terms and conditions of employment, recruitment and on-boarding processes and on employee relations casework - from the straightforward to the complex - ensuring the highest standards of outcome.  

You will support the maintenance, updating and management of the People & Culture Management Information system in a timely manner to ensure that data is accurate and up to date. You will also be capable of developing a good working knowledge of systems in order to actively support and engage staff and managers in using the MI systems to support effective people management.

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication and influencing skills; attention to detail and able to organise their workload effectively; the ability to take the initiative and work under pressure and has had previous experience of providing a People & Culture administrative service. Experience of working within higher education or the public sector would be ideal but is not essential.
