People Officer (Transactions)
Salary: Grade 5 (£26,421 - £28,770)
Location: Agile working (Home / CHQ, Eyre Street Sheffield
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday (Flexi Time)
Supervising a team of four People Assistants, you will support the People Services Team Leader in the provision of a high quality, effective and efficient customer-focused transactional people service for all employees and stakeholders, in order to ensure the delivery of the service s People Strategy.
To be successful in the role you will have a strong administrative background, ideally with an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent. You will have a good understanding of HR processes, including experience of applying administration procedures and systems to provide a quality transactional HR service.

Pay - New starters will normally commence on the bottom of the salary grade and will receive increases to the top of the grade on an incremental basis every year.
Annual Leave We offer 28 days annual leave (pro-rata) plus Bank Holidays. Annual leave increases after 5 years service to 32 days, followed by an extra day a year up to a maximum of 37 days plus bank holidays in addition to this.
Agile Working Most of our support staff roles offer some sort of flexi time and agile working, meaning people can vary their hours to suit their commitments outside of work as agreed with their line manager. Flexi time can be accrued with a potential of up to 12 days to be taken within a year.
Pension Scheme All eligible non-operational staff are auto-enrolled onto the Local Government Pension Scheme with contributions ranging from 5.5% to 12.5%. It is a defined benefit pension scheme that means pensions are based on salary and the length of paying into the Scheme.
