Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a People Partner to join our client, a leading global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil & Magnum, based at their prestigious facility in Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire.

This is a full-time temporary role, working 2 days per week onsite and the remainder of the week remote. To start ASAP until end June 2024, working a 37.5-hour week and is paying up to £44,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

The People Partner will ensure Employees and Line Managers understand the partnership model that has been put in place with Technology & Una as a first point of contact for any queries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To make a positive impact on each key stage of an employee's lifecycle and be the key person to positively influence and shape the employee experience at times which are critical in their career. You will:

  • Own end-to-end employee cycle, partner with line managers and act as single point of contact for employees in your function area, through key career moments such as onboarding, role moves locally and globally, career growth, parental leave, time off, exit, etc. (work with our Hub in Cairo to deliver the transactions)
  • Provide coaching & support to line managers in employee experience. Empower employees to be the best version of themselves. To help Employees, and our business, to thrive. We are committed to promoting a positive environment in our workplace. You will be a wellbeing ambassador, championing positive health & wellbeing, and promote the resources available to support
  • Work with HRBPs & Leaders to create & deliver project plans for managing any change programmes and reorganisations. You will play a key role leading any change programme end-to-end, ensuring meaningful consultation takes place, whilst providing guidance and support on process and policy.
  • A proactive approach to employee relations, reviewing data & spotting any employee relations trends, recommend solutions & coaching Managers to take any actions you feel are the right steps to take/ tackle problems
  • Guide Leaders & HRBPs in relation to HR policies & procedures (performance improvement, grievances, absence management etc) coaching them through the process & ensuring they have a good understanding of the legal requirements. Our role with ER can be very hands-on, writing scripts, creating outcome letters, etc. to support cases through to completion.
  • Work with teams across HR (HRBPs, Payroll, Reward, Global Mobility, Talent Acquisition etc), provide support & subject matter expertise to recommend appropriate actions to address queries

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience employee relations and case management, including knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations
  • Attention to detail, a passion for delivering great customer experience and you can spot an opportunity to improve a process at a mile off
  • Experience handling sensitive matters with tact & diplomacy, comfortable having difficult conversations, working professionally & discreetly with sensitive information
  • Both the what and the how are important to us - explain requirements/processes is key, but first comes the critical step of gaining buy-in from your stakeholders. Therefore, you'll have strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, building strong relationships with trust & confidence, as well as having the ability to influence.
  • Confident to work independently making your own judgment, using discretion while utilising policies and practices
