Salary: Up to £45,000

We are seeking a Performance engineer (preferably with experience of software development) to join a growing team that will support our middleware services hosted on modern technologies.

What you’ll be doing

You will need to analyse and make recommendations balancing the essentials of performance as we deliver new services onto our new Kubernetes platform.

About you

We are looking for candidates with:

· good verbal, written and presentation communications skills and experience of working with stakeholders.

· Exposure to Software Engineering practices and principles.

· Understanding of Java

· An agile mindset and flexible approach to work.

And the ability to:

· Learn Performance Engineering if no prior experience around it.

· Multi-task and work across multiple work-streams.

· Learn and become proficient with new technologies as they come online.

· Be resilient to a changing environment and adapt to project demands.

· Provide clear guidance/updates to team and other technical stakeholders in a timely and informative manner.

It will be advantageous to have:

· Experience of assessing performance.

· Experience of using GIT, Artifactory or other Source control repositories.

· Experience of fault resolution.

· Experience of Open Shift container and Cloud technologies

· Experience of Kafka, Kubernetes, MongoDB

· A sound working knowledge and capability of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
