Manage, monitor, and report the reliability of plant assets focused on improved availability, “up time” and increased productivity. Introduce innovation where appropriate aimed at long term operational efficiency.


What you'll be doing


As a Performance Engineer you will have the following accountabilities:

  • Develop the OCH (Operational Control Hub) and manage the ongoing integration of data and dashboard reporting for internal and customer use
  • Ensuring adherence and compliance with policies and procedures across the operation of the business
  • Develop and produce weekly/monthly reliability dashboards and statistics as requested
  • Ensure all equipment/machines are maintained to the required quality standards and legislative requirements
  • Ensure all staff are given technical support as requested (fault finding, technical guidance)
  • Interrogate reliability data to identify trends and provide technical solutions where necessary
  • Ensure all equipment/machines have a reliability growth plan which is executed and regularly reviewed
  • Ensure corrective actions (fault rectification) are implemented to prevent repeat failures/issues
  • Provide support and guidance to the Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure suitable spares and service kits are available to support the operation of the fleet
  • Complete maintenance improvements documentation as necessary aligned to the Engineering Change processes
  • Conduct and ensure regular quality inspections are carried out across the fleet, with corrective actions and lessons learnt distributed throughout the BU team, and wider if necessary.
  • Produce and submit technical reports as required.
  • Various requirements as directed by the BU Manager or Operations Lead in accordance with business requirements
  • Contribution to specification of new plant and equipment based on lessons learned from previous reliability data, knowledge and experience

Who we're looking for


You will have the following:

  • Strong computer skills - focused on Excel / Word / PowerPoint and ideally conversant with other software, e.g. MS Project
  • Ability to lead multiple projects with unique challenges and opportunities to deliver effective performance
  • Ability to analyse complex data, draw conclusions, produce reports and make recommendations to the Business Manager
  • Experience of Improvement programs
  • Excellent report writing
  • Ideally extensive knowledge of the plant / Overhead Power Line industry.
