Performing Arts Teacher Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver comprehensive and engaging lessons in drama, music, and dance, catering to the diverse interests and abilities of students.
• Incorporate a variety of teaching methods, including practical exercises, group work, and performances, to foster creativity and expression.
• Assess student progress and performance through practical assessments, performances, and coursework.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Performing Arts department and across other subject areas to integrate Performing Arts into cross-curricular projects and initiatives.

Performing Arts Teacher Requirements:

• Degree in Performing Arts, Drama, Music, or a related field.
• Be committed to child protection, safeguarding, and pupil welfare.

• PGCE with QTS or other UK recognised teaching qualification.
• Previous experience teaching Performing Arts at the secondary level. This may be gained through teaching placements during teacher training or through prior teaching roles.
• Strong knowledge and passion for drama, music, and dance education.

• Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.
