About the Childcare Lawyer role:
Sellick Partnership is currently working with an ambitious Local Authority in the East Midlands that are seeking a Childcare Lawyer on a permanent basis. The role is predominantly home working with court attendance when required.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with initiative, a proactive approach to problem solving and a real commitment to the job. This is a great opportunity to join a fantastic, growing team with a wealth of experience.

The successful Childcare Lawyer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Holding an interesting and varied caseload
- Advising and providing legal representation to Social Workers discharging their Child Protection functions
- Attending legal planning meetings and advising on things such as the issuing of care proceedings; pre-proceedings cases, adoption matters; cases relating to Deprivation of Liberty
- Conducting advocacy for remote hearings as well as in person hearings within Courts in the East Midlands region
- Being part of the duty rota
