Streetworks / Permit Coordinator
Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Role: Monday - Friday, Full-time. Hybrid working available
Project Partners are working closely with a growing telecoms company who are experiencing growth and expansion across the North East. They are on the look out for experienced Streetworks Coordinators with a strong history of permit coordinating. Have you got a background in raising permits and looking for a new long-term opportunity?
Job responsibilities:
* Prepare, submit and maintain streetworks permits.
* Co-ordinate all tasks in regards to permits and notices; open and close permits / notices, submit works start and stops, apply modifications, request early starts where required, update interim and permanent registration information.
* Produce reports on all tasks when required.
* Assign permit conditions.
* Complete applications and notices within set SLA's.
* Ensure all works being completed are compliant with NRSWA and deal with any issues/requests issued by relevant Local Authorities.
* Work with the Site Teams to ensure the works are completed within the set time frames, all the relevant photos are received from site and ensure that all notices/permits are opened/closed on time to prevent fines being issued by the Local Authorities.
* Liaise with Local Authorities and Traffic Management Companies.
* Prepare Traffic Management Applications.
* Provide timely and accurate responses to internal and external enquiries from both the Local Authorities and the Project Team.
* Any other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experienced in the use of Streetwork permitting systems including StreetManager and Symology Aurora.
* Proficient in Microsoft packages
* An organised, enthusiastic team player with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
* Problem-solving skills: can identify problems and come up with innovative solutions to overcome them
* Background in Telecoms, Utilities or Construction
* Ideally knowledge of the New Roads and Streetworks Act (NRSWA) and Traffic Management Act (TMA)
