Job description

The Role: To support a young professional gentleman living with Muscular Dystrophy, to live an exciting and fulfilling life. He requires 2 new members of staff to join his team for day and night shifts. This role is for day shifts.

Main Duties:

· To provide all aspects of Personal Care

· To use a hoist

· To support to maintain a hygienic home (including laundry, cleaning, and tidying up etc)

· Food and drink preparation

· To support getting out of bed / going to bed each day

· To attend Dr / hospital appointments as and when required

· You will also be required to cover for colleagues on leave and sickness, and on occasions work extra hours, agreed in advance.

· To assist to attend social events, such as meeting friends, day trips, and evening trips.

· Punctual, and flexible

· Suitable for a casual working environment but always remaining professional.

Car owner with driving license is essential.

The employer enjoys television/film, travelling, music and sport.

You must be able to prove the right to work in the UK. No sponsorships are available.

Hours: Live-in care (week on week off) 8:30 - 20:30. Days can be flexible.

Hourly Rate: £13.50 per hour

Holidays: 5.6 weeks per year (pro rata) including Bank holidays
