SalaryPersonal Care Assistant / Support Worker required to assist a young man with Autism living in the Hamilton area.
You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home and in the community including activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:
· Assisting with participation in physical activities and attending college
· Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living
Driver essential and you will be required to use your own vehicle – mileage allowance will be paid.
Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage them to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
Favourite activities are music, concerts, shopping and outdoor play parks.
Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)
Guaranteed permanent position of 23 hours per week
Days and times:
Weekdays during the day – to be discussed at interview
Hourly rate:
£12.00 per hour
