If so we have an exciting opportunity for a Personal Injury Solicitor to join a fantastic firm on the outskirts of Leeds.The successful candidate will be an accomplished Solicitor/Fee Earner to lead their growing team and will provide the team with strategic leadership, development, and growth, whilst also being responsible for a caseload of fast-track Personal Injury RTA claims.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and run the PI team and proactively resolve disputes
- Handle your own caseload of claims to ensure that clients receive professional, timely and pertinent legal advice.
- To be able to assess quantum to include reviewing medical reports, researching and obtaining relevant case law, drafting schedules of special damages and assessing suitable compensation.
- To liaise with medical agencies, experts, third party insurers and other relevant parties to ensure that cases are progressed.
- Instruct Barristers to represent clients at hearings and obtain formal advice over issues of quantum.
- Budget, financial and profitability control and delivering appropriate personal billing and financial targets
- Monitor workloads and allocate work as necessary
Requirements:
- Have significant Personal Injury expertise of managing your own caseload of fast-track RTA litigated claims and management experience
- Excellent litigator with strong drafting skills and the ability to negotiate settlements or running claims through to trial if required
- A strong working knowledge of the CPR, legislation, and relevant case law.
- Excellent client care ability, with a passion for achieving the best possible outcome for our clients
- Experience and Understanding of credit hire
- A keen analytical mindset, quickly identifying fraudulent and business risks, alongside the ability to investigate claims thoroughly
