With Destinology, our customers receive their own Personal Travel Consultant, who will ensure that no detail is overlooked - however small - right from their initial enquiry, all the way through to them returning home.
Role Purpose
Personal Travel Consultants are ready to share their travel advice, personal recommendations and experiences to help create the perfect trip for our customers.
Personal Travel Consultants look after their customer right from the initial enquiry, all the way through to returning home. They understand that everyone has different tastes and preferences when booking a holiday and listen carefully to their customer to create their ideal itinerary and add those little personal touches that make a big difference.
Responsibilities
Sales and Customer Engagement:
- Handle incoming sales enquiries via phone, email, or webchat.
- Proactively each out to potential clients to promote travel packages and special offers.
- Build rapport with clients, understand their travel preferences, and recommend suitable destinations, accommodations, and activities.
- Use persuasive sales techniques to convert enquiries into booking and achieve sales targets.
Travel Planning and Booking:
- Assist clients in creating personalised travel itineraries based on their preferences and budget.
- Coordinate travel logistics including flights, accommodations, transportation and activities.
- Provide accurate pricing information and finalise bookings using reservation systems.
Customer Service Excellence:
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the booking process, addressing client enquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Offer support and assistance to clients before, during and after their travels to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience.
- Handle any issues or complaints from clients and resolve them effectively to maintain customer satisfaction.
Product knowledge and promotion:
- Stay updated on travel trends, destination information, and product offerings.
- Promote and upsell additional services, such as travel insurance, car hire and excursions.
- Share your expertise and recommendations to enhance the overall travel experience for clients.
Qualifications:
- Must be living in the UK to apply.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Travel Sales Consultant.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sales acumen and ability to meet sales targets.
- Knowledge of travel booking systems and reservation software.
- Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
