Location: Crawley

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pet Travel Specialist to join our clients Pet Export team in Crawley. As a Pet Travel Specialist, you will be responsible for facilitating the seamless relocation of animals from the UK to destinations across the globe.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance, pricing, and information regarding Pet Travel to potential clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients via phone and email on a daily basis.
  • Familiarize yourself with airline requirements, industry procedures, and destination country regulations.
  • Coordinate flight bookings and prepare necessary travel documentation.
  • Liaise with third-party entities such as boarding kennels and veterinary practices.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues effectively.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment by remaining proactive and adaptable.
  • Exhibit strong organizational and time management abilities to manage client bookings efficiently.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure every aspect of the pet relocation process is meticulously planned.
  • Demonstrate dedication to providing compassionate customer care and exceeding client expectations.
  • Convey confidence and professionalism to reassure clients throughout the Pet Travel process.
  • Utilize your love for animals to empathize with clients and address any concerns they may have.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook (Experience with Excel is advantageous).
  • Previous experience in Pet Travel, freight, exports, or customs.
  • Strong English grammar, spelling, and literacy skills.
  • Prior experience working in an office environment.
  • Passion for animals and experience with pets preferred.

Benefits:

  • Full-time permanent position (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00-18:00 with 1-hour unpaid lunch).
  • 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
  • Company laptop provided.
  • Starting salary £25,000 – £27,000 depending on experience with a 3-month probation period.
  • Upon completion of probation and full training:
    • Company pension scheme.
    • Some evening/weekend on-call work (additional pay) split between department members with the option to work from home.
    • On-call phone provided.
    • Monthly layered ‘paid up’ target bonus.
