We have an exciting opportunity to join our London Gatwick operations as Pets on Jets Manager.
You will be the business operational lead whilst on shift and ensure that the LGW Pets on Jets Business is both successful, security compliant and safety conscious.
The areas of responsibility for this role are wide and therefore requires a thorough knowledge of animal handling by air. You will be comfortable leading the team, with a commitment to the promotion of the WFS - F.I.R.S.T culture and the “WFS WAY”.
Your main responsibilities on a day to day basis will be:-
- Ensure compliance of Safety and Security standards at all times.
- Effective management and delivery of all Pets on Jets duties.
- Coordination and management of POJ team, including roster management.
- Maintaining operational performance to meet customers’ Service Level Agreements.
- To comply with APHA, Defra, Customs, CAA and any other regulatory bodies.
- Management of health and safety.
- X-ray Screening self-audits and checks.
To be successful in this role you will need:-
- Knowledge and experience of animal handling by air.
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills with the ability to challenge and influence others effectively.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organize own workload, working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong IT skills and understanding of customs software/interfaces.
