SalaryA brand-new opportunity has arisen with an award-winning family-owned group of pharmacies, which pride themselves on looking after their staff.
Our client is in search of a Pharmacist Manager to join their pharmacy branch in Airdrie (ML6) on a full-time permanent basis, working Monday to Friday (9am to 5:30pm), with 1 hour for lunch (pharmacy is closed).
This is a fantastic opportunity to become an Independent Prescriber (if you aren’t already), as our client are able to support you in achieving this.
Salary is dependent on experience and the Independent Prescribing qualification.
- Up to £68,000 for a qualified IP. Up to £50,000 for a non-IP.
- Plus £1,750 quarterly bonus, GPhC fees paid, electric car scheme option, private healthcare, and relocation support available if required.
Ideal Requirement for the Pharmacist Manager
- GPhC registered Pharmacist.
- Ideally you will be a qualified independent prescriber but open to any level of experience as long as you are willing to undertake the IP course (paid for by the company).
- Patient focused attitude striving for good outcomes for patients.
Role Responsibilities for the Pharmacist Manager
- Dispensing Prescription medicine to the public in accordance with the regulations and contractual obligations.
- Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting GP’s orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibles and prescribing errors.
- Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, labelling medicines.
- Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies, advising interventions.
- Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organising and directing Technicians workflow, verifying their preparation, and labelling of medicines verifying order entries, charges and inspections.
- Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals, counselling patients on drug therapies.
