Job description

Annex 21 will be considered for Trainee's.
Appointments under Annex 21 specifically relate to trainees who enter the NHS and undertake all their training whilst an NHS employee. Typically, these staff develop their knowledge and skills significantly during a period of time measured in years. Given the significant change in knowledge and skills during the training period the use of job evaluation is not appropriate. Pay should therefore be determined as a percentage of the pay for qualified staff.
In this case the successful candidates will be appointed under Annex 21 for 1 year until training is complete. Training would include 1 day college release (distance learning) for a period of up to 12 months, with the rest of working week, being based in primary care.

Please see attached policy for more information on our Annex 21
