SalaryThe role involves being a Pharmacy technician at our practice with a patient list size of around 17,500 patients. As a member of the general practice clinical pharmacy team you will be expected to deliver a high quality clinical pharmacy service to patients ensuring safe, clinically effective and cost efficient use of drugs as well as support our clinical pharmacists with administrative tasks.. Your role will be focused on general practice support, involvement in medicines optimisation and reviews, aligning repeat prescriptions,organising relevant investigations related to medications, acting on hospital letters and discharge letters, meeting local/national prescribing targets and working to the practice requirement. We expect our clinical pharmacy team to evaluate the delivery, implementation and risks involved with our services as well as contribute to clinical governance agendas and regularly review policies and procedures with ideas to develop these in a multidisciplinary manner. Your main duties include but are not limited to:- Medication reauthorisation and organisation of medication reviews Referring to local and national guidance to guide correct prescribing of medication - Reconciling of practice purchased/administered drug- Completion/action of Docman/ tasks sent to pharmacy team- MMT requirements and targets- Supporting the clinical pharmacy team as well as practice team for medication related queries We have a skilled team of clinicians including doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, physician associates and HCA's. We have a skilled administrative team who support clinicians by arranging referrals and organizing workflow of tasks allowing time to focus on patient care. We have a culture of learning and personal development being a training practice. There are regular clinical meetings which allow us to discuss matters in an open and supportive environment. Apart from this, we pride ourselves on having an open door policy- any issues can be discussed at the time you need to with any member of staff.
