Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician

- Band 5 (£28,407 to £34,581)
- 37.5 hours per week (post equalling 1 Whole Time Equivalent)
- Monday to Friday plus Sat and bank holidays on rota basis

- Applications are invited for the post of Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician based at Grantham Hospital.
We are looking for a GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician who is committed, enthusiastic and hardworking. Duties will include working in the dispensary and on the wards. Based initially in our dispensary you will be involved in dispensing for in-patients and out-patients. On the wards, after appropriate training, you will be involved in medicines reconciliation at admission and 24 hours prior to discharge, assessment of patients own medication, ordering medications from the electronic prescription and counselling or advising our service users and patients.
You will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be confident speaking to patients, nursing staff, prescribers and other health care staff. You will need to have experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or community setting. Experience of using pharmacy specific computer systems such as Ascribe or JAC is desirable.
