PhD Scholarship Opportunity in Biomedical Engineering

Dr. Jiaqiu Wang is looking for highly motivated PhD students in the fields of biomechanics and biomedical imaging analysis. The positions are available for enrolment in September 2024. Qualifications We are seeking candidates with a strong academic background in mechanics, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or related disciplines. Successful applicants will ideally have 1 or 2 peer-reviewed publications in relevant fields, further enhancing their eligibility for a full PhD scholarship. Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are especially encouraged to apply: Finite Element Method: Proficiency in both theoretical knowledge and practical application. Medical Imaging Technologies: Familiarity with imaging technologies and image processing. Coding and Algorithm Design: Skills in programming and algorithm design. Experience in machine learning and neural networks. Scholarship PhD scholarship opportunities are provided as a competition for strong candidates. A full scholarship for top candidates encompasses a tuition fee waiver and an annual stipend of approximately £21k for three years. English Language Requirements Overseas applicants must meet the English language requirements for admission, with an overall IELTS score of 7 and a minimum of 6.5 in individual components (or equivalent TOEFL score).
